Our office is located in Bellingham, Washington, and we have been serving Whatcom County, Skagit County, and surrounding communities since 2010. We represent families, individuals, and small businesses, and strive to provide our clients with reliable, affordable, and effective representation. Robert Joseph La Rocco
Robert is the founder of the La Rocco Law Firm and its senior attorney. He has extensive experience in family law, bankruptcy, and debt relief cases, and significant experience in criminal defense and several other areas of law. In addition to a Juris Doctor degree, he holds a Master’s Degree in accounting and taxation, and frequently puts his previous accounting experience to work for his clients in bankruptcy cases, small business law cases, property division and child support cases, and many more. He is a tireless worker and a gifted trial lawyer, priding himself on his courtroom experience and skills.
Robert was born at the United States Air Force 97th General Hospital at Rhein-Main Air Base in Frankfurt, Germany. He was active in Boy Scouts as a youth, and went on to study economics at Penn State University. He worked as a small business manager for ten years, and obtained his Master’s degree in accounting and taxation prior to attending law school in New York and Michigan and then founding the La Rocco Law Firm, P.C.
Outside of the office, Robert enjoys spending time with his wife and their two wonderful children, both of whom are attending Washington State University. He is also an avid ballroom dancer, loves to cook, and is interested in art, architecture, and woodworking. He comes from a family with a 250-year tradition of woodworking and cabinetmaking, and maintains that tradition by designing and building fine furniture in his spare time.
Robert also speaks fluent German, in addition to some French, Greek, and Latin.

Silvana La Rocco
Silvana was born and raised in Germany, and moved to the United States with her family in 1994. After spending time in Florida and New York, she attended law school in Michigan, where she also volunteered with the State Appellate Defenders’ Office in Detroit. Silvana is married and has two wonderful children who are attending Washington State University. In her down-time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and cooking.
In the office, Silvana keeps the practice streamlined. She makes sure that everything is done in an organized and timely manner. It is important to her that clients feel comfortable in the office, so she strives to provide the office with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
